伊東豊雄・中沢新一 建築の大転換 Transformation of Architecture by Toyo Ito & Shinichi Nakazawa

中沢は、東日本大震災後に、『日本の大転換』という本を書いた。

この本は、いわば、その建築版である。

中沢によれば、建築は、本来、それが建つ土地と結びついていなかればならないが、近代以降の建築においては、土地の上に、それと無関係な”もの”を置いているだけ、だという。

建築家の伊東豊雄も、そうした中沢の考えに賛同している。伊東の建築は、これまでの近代主義的な建築に対する批判でもあるという。

中沢は、伊勢神宮やボロブドゥールの仏塔を例に、土地と一体となった建築の姿を論じている。

建築とは何かという本質的な問いを問いかける、興味深い本だ。

Nakazawa is saying the architecture should link to the nature & land tightly but the modern architecture is not.

Toyoo Ito, a architecture agrees with Nakazawa's thought. His works is based on the critics agains the modern architecture concept Nakazawa points out.

The book is asking what is the ideal essence of architecture.
