西沢立衛 美術館をめぐる対話（集英社新書） Dialog about Museum by Ryue Nishizawa

建築家の西沢が、アーティスト、作家、キュレーター、同業者らと、美術館について語った対話のアンソロジー。

西沢が自ら建てた、金沢21世紀美術館、十和田市現代美術館についてだけでなく、ルーブル美術館、ビルバオのグッゲンハイム美術館についても、幅広く論じている。

美術関係者は、美術館の内部だけに関心が集中するが、美術館を建てる建築家は、周囲の環境との関係についても、関心を多く払う。

西沢を始めとした、現代の建築家によって建てられる美術館を通じて、美術そのもののあり方が、大きく変わるかもしれない可能性を、強く感じた。

I felt some possibility to change the art itself by the architects.
