しかし、今日の茶道の状況は、それとは全く異なっており、家元制度という封建的な世界の元で、きらびやかな茶道具が、持てはやされている、として厳しく批判している。

中でも、利休好みなどの、好み、というものは、数ある茶道具の中から、真の茶道に相応しいものを選択し、それまでにない茶道を作りあげようとする、創造的な取組みである、という説明は、興味深かった。
