安藤礼二編 折口信夫 芸能論集（講談社文芸文庫） Nobuo Origuchi Antology for Entertainment

安藤礼二が、折口信夫の全集から、芸能に関する文章を抜き出し、編集したもの。

芸能そのものを正面から扱っているのは、日本芸能史序説、古代演劇論、の2つだといっていだろう。

その日本芸能史序説の冒頭で、折口は、”芸能史は、通常の歴史のようには記述できず、芸能史という言葉自体に問題がある”と書いている。実に、折口らしい。

ある仮説を述べながら、その根拠を書かずに、次の話題に移ってしまう部分が多く、どうしても、折口の文章は、学問というより、文学という色合いが濃い。

しかし、その文章の魅力にはまったら、その世界からは、容易に抜け出すことはできなくなる。

Reiji Andou selected some sentences from Nobuo Origuchi complete works related to Japanese entertainment and made this book be them.

Origuchi mentioned it was difficult to write the history of entertainment as another kinds of histories. He also wrote that the world "Entertainment History" has some issues. This appears Origuchi way well.

Origuchi known as a scholar of folklore but he writes his articles just like as a literary person.

It is very difficult to escape from Origuchi's world if someone is in his world deeply.
